Tivoli

Tivoli in Copenhagen
is a nice place to visit
even on a dark winter night.
We did on December 18th.

You can warm up by drinking spiced wine.

Aunt Tora

William and I visited Aunt Tora
on 2:nd sunday of Advent.

She showed us her "nisse luva"  (Santa's helper's hat).

We had a snow storm

and enjoyed yet another walk

through the old cemetary on our way home.
Saturday before 4th of Advent
we visited aunt Tora again.
She had been very sick with a high fever for two days.
But we were pleasantly surprised.

The quality of this picture may not be the best,
but the content definitely is.
Just look at their smiles.
This Saturday, aunt Toras fever was gone
and she was sitting in her chair.
She met Eyja for the first time
and they had a long conversation.

Unfortunately the fever came back the next day
and aunt Tora could not celebrate Christmas togerther with us.

1:a Advent - winter has arrived

Just in time for 1st of Advent
we got snow
and we could enjoy
this winter weather for almost two weeks .

William and I walked to church
and took lots of snowy pictures.

St. Pauli is a beautiful church in and of itself,
but even prettier surrounded by snow.

We lit a candle for our neighbor Jim
who was buried that Friday.

After the sermon we had coffee,
and the senior choir, in which Mom sings,
 were singing Christmas carols.

Outside was this tree with
golden leaves that lit up the winter landscape.

After having dinner with my parents
William and I went for a
two hour walk through town and took photos.

Above the streets there were lights
and lit pine decorations lined the walking street.

Lilla torg with all the old houses
was beautiful as always
Foto: William Shelton
and the shops had their windows
decorated for Christmas.
It was really cold outside,
and the fingers hurt as we were taking photos.

At Gustav Adolfs torg they had the big trees
decorated in different ways
and lots of lights covered the middle of the square
and warmed up the ground,

but the statue in the pond was still freezing.

The Christmas stalls were closed for the day

and above the walking street
it was like a sky full of tiny stars.

We walked towards home
inside the Old Graveyard
following the canal
where the lights guided us on our way.

The main library
and the Casino looked like fairy castles in the dark.

At home,
we each had a big cup of hot cocoa.

Eyja 2 months

Eyja turned 2 months
while I had problems with my blog.

She looks a lot more alert than she did
on her pictures when she turned 1 month
and has begun to smile to us.

Back Home, again

I am back home in Malmö again
after a short visit at my home in Dallas.

Work was busy
and so was after work,
as usual.

I have some problems with my blog.
My space for saving pictures on the web is full.
After some reorganization
I will try to upload some pictures again,
cause I have lots to show you.

That didn't work,
due to a bug in the program.
I guess I have to wait
and hope for a fix.

Driving my Toyota

Tuesday I drove Terence to work
so that I could have my Toyota.

There was ice on the windshield

and the thermometer showed 5 degrees Celsius.

When I had dropped off Terence
I could listen to my favoriote Sports channel again.

Food, food and more food

After dropping off the bags at the house, Friday,
we drove to my favorite restaurant, Cristina's

where I had my mexican food
and my mango Margarita.

Saturday morning we ate breakfast at Einstein Bagels
on our way to Lowe's.

We bought Cuties,
the very best clementines.

Back in Dallas

Yesterday I landed at DFW airport again,
to spend three weeks in the US
and celebrate Thanksgiving with family.

My Toyota -
it was nice to ride home from the airport in my Toyota van.

The weather -
is sunny and 84 degrees F.

Our house -
looks nice now after it has been fixed up to be put on the market.

No cats -
I missed Emily sitting in the window sill
waiting for me when I got home

Cristinas -
we spent the first evening eating Mexican food
outside at my favorite restaurant.

The shower -
I have REALLY missed our great big shower.
