Horse racing in Denmark

Today we went to Denmark
to watch the horse races at Klampenborg.
It wasn't the perfect fall day,
that we try to find to go there.
The trees at Dyrehavsbakken were still green
and it was a bit rainy to start with.

But the sun came out after a while

and the trees in the paddock were prettier.

I have been so busy ...

I have been really busy last week
so I haven't posted in a while.

Last Saturday we went to a
surprise birthday party
for a 30 year old friend of the family.
We played games in the yard
before we celebrated inside.

Monday we had another birthday party.
Charlene turned 22.

We had a delicious dinner with appetizer, main course,
dessert and coffee with cakes,
that Atli and William had prepared.

Tuesday it was finally time for our things to arrive.

It was terrible, much worse than the days when everything was packed down in Dallas.
I tried to separate out what was going to be stored
and what we should take to the rented apartment,
like this sofa that William and Atli are putting into a small trailer.

The small apartment got so stuffed
ta it felt like I was actually living in the storage.

But the cats thought they had been given a really nice playground.
Today we managed to get the apartment almost straightened up.

I didn't unpack the boxes with paintings
so the walls looked pretty empty,
until William suggested
that I should hang up one of my Stars jerseys
with autographs on a nail that was on the wall over the sofa.

Visiting Västerås

Thursday evening I took the night train to Västerås
to attend an introduction class for new employees, Friday.
Before taking the train back home in the afternoon
I took a stroll in the nice weather
and noticed that fall was almost there.

Catching the last day of summer

I wanted to catch the last day of summer
so this morning when the sun was shining
I decided I had to go to the beach
cause there may not be any more opportunities
and I have not been there since I arrived to Malmö.

My brother came along
but when we walked the five minute walk
down to the beach
we saw dark clouds
moving towards the Turning Torso.

We ate our small picnic
as a light drizzle started.
Then we walked home again
passing the ponds where I took some pictures.

Fun with co-workers

This week I had fun
with my co-workers.

Once a month people who have worked at
Satt Control/Alfa Laval Automation meet at the pub.
Hundreds of people have joined "the group"
and show up every now and then
to stay in touch with old friends.
Some people more frequently than others.

The next evening (Thursday) I went to a relase party with bowling
with my current co-workers.

Walking around town

When you walk around town
you can see a lot of funny things.

This statue is a living man

and this man
looks like he is about to get into a toy car.
